Great artwork and great puzzles!

There are several "layers" to the puzzles, and my kids and I are only going through the first layer as I write this review, but it's great so far! As in the examples, it's mostly look and find, but there is more "puzzling" puzzles alter, plus I have been watching the kids pass over clues to the overarching puzzles. This is very much in the style of the Usborne Books puzzle books "Knight's Quest", Dragon Quest", et al.

I bought the PDF, and was able to print out the puzzles 11"×17" (approximately A3) in glorious colour, and it's great. This is one case where "the medium is the message", and I don't think the native PDF would be as enjoyable, unless you have a decent tablet.

With that out of the way, I also want to say how great it is to find an activity book like this, online, in PDF for a rainy dat activity for the family.

My only complaint is that Planet Urf hasn't released their "Where's The Mermaid" book on DTRPG yet!

An enjoyable, mostly self-contained story arc. Crwm is everything you could want in an apocalyptic demon-god.

This free introduction to the series is fun, with some setting ideas worth grabbing too. I don't know the history of this comic at all, but some odd layout towards the end almost suggests they've brought together some shorter strips and wrapped an extended storyline around them to make a first issue - it works rather well.

Very funny stuff! I've got this and the next four issues now...looking forward to digging for more. The PDF edition is a good clean read; if you like Groo, KotD, Robert Aspirin or even Thrud, then you'll like Pewfell, too.

Having just read the last trade paperback of Nodwick, I was a little worried about finding something to fill the void. Pewfell looks like it will do very nicely. This issue introduces a great new character in Lilypad, Pewfell's half-toad ex-college roomie, as well as cool concepts like Peace Patrol, Sales Demons, and the Hog's Nuts bar and grill. The format of switching between longer stories and shorter "strips" works very well again, and over all this issue expands very well on the foundation laid out by the previous offering. This is already becoming a favorite.

This was a very pleasant surprise. The format, alternating between long-form stories and shorter, 4-panel gags, really worked for me. The artist's style reminds me of classic Bode-family 70's era comic fantasy, but with a somewhat more modern touch added to it as well. I particularly liked the larger drawings scattered throughout, like the cutaway view of Pewfell and Tina's home, and the picture of Tina and her Wyvern flying off after pulling off a rescue. The characters are all charming and identifiable, which is quite the achievement for a first issue. I'll be buying lots more of these, I'm sure. Heck, I bought the first three just from looking at the preview files. Recommended.

Pewfell is an incompetent wizard in search of the “stone of stone”. He and his cohorts travel through medieval Middle Earth-ish towns and villages finding themselves in all various types of ridiculous scenarios. In issue #11 Pewfell and his companions arrive in Vagus where they’re done in by sex, drugs, and rock ’n roll. Arrested and banished to the Arena, can Pewfell survive Splorko?

Humorous and over the top, Pewfell is equal parts Dave Sim’s Cerebus and Terry Pratchett’s Discworld Series. The art is cartoonishly appropriate for the material‘s tone. The page layout almost never varies from the standard nine-panel grid which becomes a bit boring. The dialogue is mostly silly, but at times clever enough to elicit real laughs. It’s well worth a look for an easy and entertaining read.
